Herbert Klein

  • Born 08. February 1922 in Altona, Hamburg
  • Drafted into the Wehrmacht in 1940
  • Served as a scout in the Füsilier-Ersatz-Batallion 26 from 1943
  • After beeing wounded twice, receives convalescent leave, from which he doesn’t return to his unit. After a few weeks, he is captured by the military police.
  • Sentenced to death on 30. January 1945 by the court of the 190th Division in Neumünster
  • Executed by firing squad on 10. March 1945 at the shooting range „Am Höltigbaum“
